Staying at home with my daughter has always been rewarding. Seeing her milestones, and little strange and comical expressions keep me going. Thanks to my loving husband who can provide for our family and let me stay home. I sometimes miss making and spending money like I used to, but I have grown to like staying at home, making a list and sticking to a budget when doing the grocery, and thinking up new ways to save. Being at home taught me how to make things instead of buy them.
I'm researching more now, and learning more than I ever have. It's kind of because I have to, but I like it. I'm challenged on how to fit things in a budget, how to make my own convenience food, how to sew, how to manage a house. I'd never been the one to decide how a household runs before.
I have baby number 1, turning 4 next week, and another one on the way in possibly 3-4 weeks. I'm going to challenge myself this year by homeschooling our first. Patience bucket, please stay full for the duration of the school year.
How I will handle breastfeeding and homeschooling, I will just have to see. I prefer this to shuttling my daughter to school and having the leave a newborn at home.

Next cookie recipe to try...
Found this on a blog, claiming to be the Famous Amos Cookie recipe. Whether or not it is the real recipe, I still have to find out for myself
Here it is...
2 cups butter
4 cups flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 cups granulated sugar
2 cups brown sugar
5 cups blended oatmeal (measure oatmeal &
blend in blender
to a fine powder)
24 oz. chocolate chips
1 tsp. salt
18 oz. Cadbury bar (grated)
4 eggs
2 tsp. baking powder
3 cups chopped nuts (your choice)
2 tsp. vanilla
cream the butter and both sugars. Add eggs and
vanilla; mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt,
baking powder, and soda. Add chocolate chips,
Cadbury bar and nuts. Roll into balls and place
two inches apart on a cookie sheet.. bake for 10
minutes at 375 degrees. Makes 122 cookies..
Have fun..!!

Thank you Ayala center priority lane
Thank you ayala center priority lane for making a pregnant woman's day a lot easier. Getting tickets at the movies was so much easier. I love you rustans for giving out free parking at the grocery. Thank you citibank for the free movie tickets. This time i didn't leave the mall with an empty wallet.
I'll see you again. :)

Wow! salon pedicure
Last night i went to get a pedicure at Wow! Salon dona soledad. This being a budget salon, i wasn't expecting much. And that was exactly what i got.
Upon entering the salon i looked around for some friendly service. Sitting on the couch at the entrance two lady employees with bloodshot eyes stated back at me without bothering to get up from their sloutch. I realize i came in just before closing, but there were still customers having their hair cut and nails done, so i decided to ask for a pedicure.
For P60 you can have your nails butchered and bleeding at this salon. No prep or cleaning of your feet your manicurist will go straight to cutting your nails while you sit on a soft black faux leather chair with holes in it you can see the stuffing. After cutting, she applies a white cuticle cleaner and proceeds to clean your nails with a metal stick and brush the dirt off with a pink stained nail brush. I'm a little concerned for my health right now and feel tempted to ask her if she has sanitized that stick after using it on the last customer. I don't see any sterilizers anywhere. Oh i miss you California Nail Spa.
Next, she takes the cuticle cutter and shapes the nails taking along any skin that gets in the way. The toe beside my pinkie toe is bleeding now. She finishes off by leaving an even bigger wound on the big toe on my right and gets up to leave.
What,no nail polish?
Next time, i'm going to Index salon. At least there you get nail polish.
